The project budget, whose engineering and technical project management will be done by Omexom Ingeniería Bilbao, totals more than 1,000,000€. The aim of the project is to increase the reliability of supply and improve the reorganization of the medium-voltage networks, which currently depend on third-party substations, and also address the future growth in demand that is expected in the area around the Port of Santander. The substation has two 55kV line positions, another two 55/12kV transformer positions (with 40 MVA machines) and seven 12kV lines. Due to its proximity to the sea, piles must be driven in the area of the substation’s civil works and electromechanical assemblies.
Omexom Especialistas will provide the maintenance of the power transformer load regulation systems, to cover the operational needs of Unión Fenosa Distribución in Guadalajara. The contract, for a total of 85,000€ and a duration of one year, concludes on 1 April 2019.
